Alexis Andrews is an international higher education leader originally from Des Moines, Iowa, with nearly a decade of experience in educational and international spaces, and a career spanning China, Spain, and the United States. In her role as Assistant Director of Global Career Development within the Miami University Center for Career Exploration and Success, Alexis’s mission is to provide strategic career support to all students seeking global careers, including international students at every academic level and domestic students pursuing international career experiences.
Since joining the Center for Career Exploration and Success in May of 2023, Alexis has spearheaded the launch of Miami Global Internships and the Global Professional Development Series, two programs that have succeeded in making global career resources accessible for all
Miami University Students. As an expert learner, Alexis regularly seeks out information from subject matter experts and trusted sources, as well as shares her expertise with employers and fellow higher education practitioners through local and national presentations at the NAFSA Annual Conference, Interstride Symposium, and CCES Employer Engagement Sessions.
Alexis believes that the key to supporting students as they endeavor into international careers is empowering them with the confidence and knowledge to take the reins of their careers into their own hands. To empower her students, Alexis provides sound, informed advice, and builds up career confidence through workshops, training sessions, and one-on-one advising.
