An Economist by training, Saj started out as a Strategy Consultant at Accenture before moving to EY’s Strategy Advisory Practice. There, he focused on the transformation of central government and received a ‘Best of the Best’ Award. One of his career highlights was being involved in creating London’s bid for the 2012 Olympics.
As Founder of multi award-winning The Smarty Train, Saj works cross practice at the nexus of organizational culture, award-winning innovation, and human-centered design. Working at both senior and board level, Saj is adept in finding resolutions for issues to do with Early Careers, talent and development. He has been awarded Freedom of the City of London, is a Trustee of The University of London Convocation Trust, was nominated as one of a hundred faces of a Vibrant Economy, and in 2022 was invited to join The Bank of England’s Decision Maker panel. His book for new joiners to the workforce, The Smarts (Penguin, 2019), has been endorsed by Harvard and is an Amazon best-seller.
