Emily Carpenter is the Associate Vice President for Experiential Impact at Nazareth University. In this role, she oversees the Center for Life’s Work (which includes the career design office, academic internships, study abroad, and the community engagement office), the Center for International Education, and the Office of Research, Scholarship & Innovation. Prior to launching the Center for Life’s Work, she led Nazareth’s internship program and was an assistant professor in the School of Management. Before Nazareth, Emily spent 12 years in the career center at the University of Rochester. She recently earned her doctorate (Ed.D.) from Northeastern University where her research was focused on rural college student career development. She presents regularly on the topics of career development and experiential learning.
