Sibyl Chen

Sibyl is the General Manager at Berkeley SkyDeck, UC Berkeley's tech accelerator. In her role, Sibyl oversees the overall operation of the accelerator as well as the programming for the startups. During the 6 years she has worked at SkyDeck, 1400 startups have gone through SkyDeck’s programs and she has grown the advisor network from 100 to over 700 people. Sibyl previously worked at Matterport, building out the media and entertainment division and then working on the marketing team. Prior to that worked as an entrepreneur and ran two companies, a food tech startup and a movie production company, Sibyl worked in the film and entertainment industry in the early part of her career, spending several years at William Morris Entertainment and Creative Artists Agency. At CAA, she worked in packaging, financing, and distributing independent films. Sibyl received her B.A. from UC Berkeley and an M.A. in International Relations from Johns Hopkins.
