Dr. Tyrone Newsome is a faculty member in the cooperative education department at the D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University. In his role, he provides career coaching and advising to help students build skills for their career paths, while also fostering new partnerships and expanding existing employer programs. With over twenty-five years of experience in higher education, Dr. Newsome has worked across various areas including residence life, student activities, student conduct, conference services, and career development, all with a focus on student engagement and development. He is deeply committed to removing barriers to student success and empowering students to reach their full potential.
Dr. Newsome currently serves as a co-chair of NACE’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. He is also a member of Delta Sigma Pi, a professional business fraternity, where he supports the development of future business leaders by enhancing their professional and leadership skills while advocating higher standards of ethics and civic involvement among members. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Lewis University, an MBA in Human Resource Management from Fitchburg State University, and a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from Northeastern University.
