Ray Rogers serves as director of career services at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. Prior, Ray also served as the career center director at St. Edward’s University in Austin, TX and at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL.
Ray has worked in career services for the past 28 years with direct experience in career services administration, internship development, career advising, employer relations, career assessments, and development of career course curriculum. Ray has worked in student affairs since 1994, also holding positions in student activities, fraternity and sorority advising, and residential life.
Ray has presented at national and regional conferences on topics including university and employer relations, career course development, future trends in college career services, and how businesses can create successful internship programs.
Ray is a past president of the Southern Association of Colleges and Employers (SoACE) and the Florida Association of Colleges and Employers (Florida ACE). He currently serves on the leadership team of NASPA’s Student Career Development Knowledge Community as well as the Assessment and Data Analytics Knowledge Group for SoACE. He is also serving as one of this year's NACE conference co-chairs.
Ray received his Master of Human Resources from Rollins College as well as a Master of Science in Student Personnel Administration from the University of Central Missouri. Ray’s undergraduate degree is from Midwestern State University in Business Administration.
