Renée Starek is a results-oriented professional with over two decades of leadership experience in higher education, specializing in career services, curriculum development, and cross-departmental collaboration. Currently serving as the Director of the Career and Professional Development Center at Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, Renée has played a pivotal role in shaping career readiness initiatives that prepare students for success in the workforce.
Since joining Seton Hill, Renée has successfully led efforts to enhance career education and professional development for students. She co-chaired a committee that incorporated career readiness into the university’s learning objectives and spearheaded the development of a comprehensive four-year career readiness plan, which requires all students to complete an internship prior to graduation. Her innovative work earned the university the University Business Model of Excellence Award for the Fit for the World Career Readiness program and the NACE Career Services Excellence Award for employer relations.
Renée's professional achievements extend beyond administration. She is an instructor for courses such as Skills for Professional Success and Business Communication, aligning her curriculum with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) career competencies. Her passion for teaching, coupled with her leadership, has empowered both students and her professional team to excel.
Renée holds a master’s degree from PennWest Edinboro University and a bachelor’s degree Gannon University.
