Jonathan Hill-Rorie is a compassionate, intelligent, and dedicated professional with a progressive career in project management and equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) consulting. Currently serving as the EDI Associate Lead for the Americas at Ørsted, Jonathan brings extensive experience in LGBTQ+ healthcare, high-impact research, and advocacy across various EDI initiatives.
Jonathan’s academic background includes degrees from Duke University and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. At Duke, he studied Evolutionary and Cultural Anthropology, focusing on the health impacts of social movements like the Civil Rights Movement and Black Power Movement. At Harvard, his research explored how social networks and media influence mental health, particularly among college students. His scholarly work has supported survey development and data analysis for student mental health and wellbeing initiatives at both institutions.
Prior to joining Ørsted, Jonathan served as Project Director for the Adolescent Trials Network at Fenway Health in Boston and conducted public health research at Yale University and Duke University with an emphasis on social determinants of health. His expertise in analyzing data, designing research programs, and preparing comprehensive reports has been instrumental in advancing Ørsted’s commitment to creating a more inclusive workplace.
In his role at Ørsted, Jonathan supports the global P&D team, collaborates closely with ERG leads, and partners with the Americas Senior Leadership Team to spearhead strategic initiatives. He excels in storytelling and crafting narratives that make data more accessible, driving actionable insights and defining user journeys and personas. Recognized for leading complex projects from ideation to implementation, he is also known for his ability to train and guide cross-functional teams to achieve the best outcomes.
Jonathan's passion for justice, connectedness, and equity is integral to his work, ensuring that all initiatives are thoughtful and impactful. His dedication to fostering inclusive environments and his ability to synthesize research into actionable insights make him a trusted leader and an invaluable asset to our organization.
