Christie Vuoto has dedicated the last 10 years to career services and employer relationships in higher education. After completing a bachelor’s degree at Loyola University Maryland and completing a year of postgraduate service in NYC, Christie earned a master’s degree in counseling for mental health and wellness from New York University. During her master’s program, Christie became a graduate assistant in Fordham University’s Office of Career Services where she discovered her love of employer relationships. After that, she was offered a full-time job. Wanting to move back home to the Philadelphia area, Christie networked her way into the Villanova University Career Center where she has advanced her career for the last eight years. Starting as an Assistant Director, Employer Relations, Christie was instrumental in creating the Industry Advising Team, an effective model blending employer relations and career counseling. Christie has benefited from the growth of Villanova’s Career Center, becoming an Associate Director, Industry Advising, where she spearheaded the creation of the employer-weighted model, which provides a framework for serving Villanova’s employer partners through tiered levels of engagement. For the last two years, Christie has had the pleasure of serving as the Director, Industry Advising, hiring and managing a team of four Industry Advisors. In this role, Christie leads the team in creating impactful tools, resources, and programming to serve both employers and students.
