Kelly O’Shaughnessy ’05, M.A., M.S., is the Director of Career Readiness Pathways at William & Mary’s Office of Career Development & Professional Engagement, where she designs and manages the campus-wide career readiness initiatives supporting faculty and staff as partners in developing career-ready students and graduates. Additionally, Kelly specializes in career exploration, decision-making, and student-athlete career development. A W&M alumna, Kelly has been part of the Office of Career Development & Professional Engagement since 2013. Before returning to W&M, Kelly worked in career development at multiple universities in Boston, MA, after completing her M.A. in Higher Education Administration at Boston College. She also has experience as a secondary English teacher in Chesapeake, VA, and an M.S. in Secondary Education from Old Dominion University. While teaching, Kelly designed city-wide curriculum materials for ninth-grade English.
Kelly has more than 15 years of experience in career development, including at at Lasell College and Lesley University. She also taught secondary English in southeastern Virginia for 4 years and coached field hockey. Kelly is a certified interpreter of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.
