Marshella Pounds is a Sr. Manager at Raymond James currently leading the Business Advising group within the Early Careers Recruiting team.
Marshella started her career in career services at Duke’s Fuqua School of Business and UNC-Chapel Hill’s School of Law, then transitioned to university recruiting when she joined Johnson & Johnson’s University Relations team in August 2016. Throughout her career, she has developed and led campus partnerships and candidate engagement strategies as well as influenced business leaders in building early talent programs. Marshella has also held roles in the Talent Management and Project Management spaces leading succession planning and leadership development. She is a certified Change Practitioner through Prosci and SHRM-SCP.

Originally from North Carolina, Marshella holds a BA degree in Communications Studies from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, and a MA in Liberal Studies with a Global Studies concentration from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. She is currently based in Tampa, FL, and resides in Riverview with her husband, Jeff, and seven-year-old son, Emerson. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and is a wine enthusiast with her Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET) Level 1 certification.
