Jennifer (Jenny) Quijano Sax leads international education initiatives as Director of Education Abroad at Goucher College, where all students graduate with a global experience. Jenny develops study abroad programs that reflect Goucher's Simon award-winning internationalization strategy, emphasizing both academic excellence and career readiness.
With over 15 years in the field, Jenny oversees program development, safety protocols, and international partnerships. Previously, as Associate Director of Global Education at Johns Hopkins University, she directed student advising and expanded STEM-focused international programs. Her career also includes senior positions at McDaniel College, Virginia Tech, and the University of Chicago, where she focused on advancing access and inclusion in global learning.
An active voice in international education, Jenny has presented on topics such as intercultural awareness and diversity in study abroad. She has served in leadership capacities with NAFSA’s Region VIII and the Virginia International Educators Group, earning recognition that includes Virginia Tech's Hokie Spirit Award and citations for Excellence in Advising at Johns Hopkins University.
Jenny holds an M.A. in Religious Studies from Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a B.A. in Religion and French from Middlebury College. Fluent in English and French, with working knowledge of Hebrew and Spanish, she collaborates across campus and beyond to inspire tomorrow’s global changemakers.
