Torrence S. Traynham
A highly accomplished and results-driven talent acquisition leader with over 15 years of experience partnering with universities to identify and recruit top talent. Serving at three Fortune 500 companies (Morgan Stanley, ADP and MarshMcLennan), I have a proven track record of success in developing and implementing innovative recruitment strategies that align with organizational goals and foster a diverse and inclusive workforce. My expertise lies in building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including university career services, faculty, and student organizations, to create robust talent pipelines.
Currently, I serve as the Chief Talent Officer for D9 Resume Exchange, a leading recruitment firm specializing in sourcing exceptional candidates from the Divine Nine organizations. In this role, I lead the organization's efforts to connect top employers with highly qualified professionals from historically Black Greek letter organizations. I am passionate about leveraging my network and expertise to increase access and opportunities for underrepresented groups in the workforce.
In addition to my work with D9 Resume Exchange, I am the Executive Director of the D9 Emerging Leaders Fellowship. This program is dedicated to developing the next generation of leaders by providing mentorship, professional development, and networking opportunities to high-achieving students and young professionals from the Divine Nine.
Deeply committed to community involvement and service, I actively contribute as a board member for The New York Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., where I am involved in initiatives focused on mentorship, education, and social action. I also serve on the executive board for the National Pan-Hellenic Council of New York City, collaborating with other Greek organizations to promote unity, leadership, and service within the community.
