Kate Rockey-Harris leads the Career Education and Coaching Teams at NYU’s Wasserman Center for Career Development, supporting the career advancement of over 60,000 undergraduate and graduate students. In this role, she is dedicated to equipping students, recent alumni, and postdoctoral scholars with the tools, guidance, and opportunities essential for achieving their professional goals. Kate brings a diverse background to her work, having started her career as an IT recruiter for investment banks before transitioning to higher education. Her experience spans student affairs, academic advising, career development, and employer and alumni engagement. She is actively involved in strategic initiatives at NYU, serving on both the Career Services and Graduate Life university-wide counterparts committees. Nationally, Kate contributes to the field through her leadership role with the NASPA Student Career Development Knowledge Community. She holds an EdD and EdM in Adult Learning and Leadership from Columbia University’s Teachers College, an MA in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Columbia University, an MS in Human Resource Management and Development from NYU, and a BS in Design and Environmental Analysis from Cornell University.
