The purpose of this session is to highlight a Historically Black College’s mentor institute program, share how they guided undergraduate students’ career field placement, and identify pathways and pipelines to support workforce diversity.
Learning Objectives:
Describe how to cultivate a safe culturally relevant environment between faculty and Black students and students of color.
Identify the ways that mentoring can positively affect the learning and career exploration experiences of Black students and students of color in STEM and health & human service-related fields.
